FW 500/500a encryption finally broken !

Now you can add all neo geo games using official ngx encryption scheme. 50 games max on card (this limit is hard coded). You cannot switch encrypted games.

You can find the tool here: github.com/GMMan/NgxDecrypt

The tool can encrypt and decrypt (it expects normal fbacached games as in fw v337/370 for encryption).

All games tested, just 1 not working: Viewpoint (it crashes with a black screen after the neo geo logo but it seems to be an emulator bug). If a game kicks you back to the menu you are probably missing some rom files before using fbacache.

A test mode was found (just create a file called test_mode.txt in the root of the external SD) and alternative firmwares flashed !

Hey ! Thanks for the news, great job guys !
I've already found the production test mode on firmware 370,  it's funny to share even if it's useless.
Correct me if it's not this mode, please.

Hi davlar ! Yes it is quite useless
It should be the same production test you found in v370; there seems to be another "factory test" (with battery calibration too) but it seems not to be "triggerable" from a simple file copyed to sd. Instead flashing new firmwares opens up a lot of features such as movie playing !
